Malacca River Cruise

The Malacca River is one of the highlights of the city and the best way to experience it is to take to the water on a scenic river cruise. Back in the days of old the river would have been one of the most important trade routes in the area and nowadays you can cruise past important spots such as Kampung Morten and enjoy all the sights of the city. There are also nigh time river cruises which offer you the chance to take in the city illuminations and the journey usually takes around 45 minutes to an hour. The Melaka River Cruise is a great way to see the sights of Melaka at a leisurely pace, in comfort and without breaking the bank. The Melaka River is where the town began and it has played a key role in Melaka's colourful history. Taking a river cruise is like seeing Melaka from the back door. If you are driving to Melaka you will discover that finding a parking space in the town centre is not easy. If you just want to do the river cruise I would suggest you catch the boat at Taman Rempah jetty because they have a large car park and it's free of charge.  Alternatively you can park at The Shore and board the river cruise here. MyKad holders pay RM 25 for adults and RM 15 for children aged 2 to 12. Foreigners have to pay a little more, RM 30 for adults and RM 25 for kids. If you want to arrange a group outing or corporate event you can charter the whole 40 seat boat for RM 1,000.Head down there now and enjoy the relaxing cruise

The Shore Oceanarium is the New Premier Tourist Attraction in Melaka. It is located at 2th floor of The Shore Shopping Gallery, right in the heart of the historical city of Melaka, UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Malaysia. An extraordinary interactive journey to learn the earth ecosystem and allow you to discover creatures from land to the sea. Kid-friendly marine life exhibits, including touch pools, sea turtles & 100+ types of seashells. It was an amazing place, the staff were very friendly, the place was clean and we could pet some of the animals like a baby shark, fishes, a starfish, and many more. There were different categories in The Shore Oceanarium. Some of the categories were about dinosaurs, sharks, small fishes, seahorses, turtles, butterflies, snakes and etc. There was also some 3D art there for people to take pictures. This place even had its own 3D movie cinema and there’s incredibly loud sound effects to make it feel real. This oceanarium is also very educational as there is a quiz during our duration there and we would stamp our answers with the stamps given along the way which we had to look for, some sort of treasure hunt in there and at the end of the tour, the staff will check the quiz paper and if you get all correct you will get a free gift from them so not only is it a fun experience but it is also an educational one.
